Everypony is Beautiful: Starlight Glimmer

If anypony in Equestria needs a lot of encouragement, it's Starlight Glimmer. An admittedly "totally evil" former villain who took away cutie marks and destroyed Equestria several times over, Starlight worked very hard to learn about friendship as Twilight Sparkle's student. She successfully graduated from those studies and is now a powerful, trusted magic pony in her own right. And on top of that, she is the tough loving but still caring guidance counselor at Twilight's new School of Friendship.

But Starlight is still tortured by her past. A simple but sincere affirmation for the pony that she has become today means more to her than we will ever know. Tears of joy.

Third in a series of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic characters being complemented for their inner and outer beauty. This one is my personal favorite so far, and I cried myself quite a few times while drawing the feisty but lovable Glim Glam.

Starlight's cutie mark brooch is "Starlight Glimmer's Cutie Mark", created by Silshadnic.

EDIT: Starlight's gala dress is based on Princess Celestia's dress from "Make New Friends But Keep Discord", and the colors are the same as in the dress design Rarity had in mind for Starlight in "No Second Prances".

UPDATE 20 June 2018: This has now officially become, by far, my all-time most favorited deviation! A lot of fans think Starlight Glimmer is beautiful, too.
