Second Draft: Smurfette The First

We're smurfing like royals (royals...)
Since blue is in our blood
This luxe is smurfy just for us
Though Vexy smurfs a different buzz...

Here is the second draft of my new drawing Smurfette the First, with the characters scanned and colored in. Because of problems with my laptop and a hectic work schedule this week, I chose to ink the drawing instead of vector-trace it with Adobe Flash. As with scanned ink drawings, the lines look more raw and lively than the clean vector lines I'm accustomed to drawing with.

Smurfette's dress is adapted from an official Studio Peyo drawing, and Vexy's is designed by EpicSmurfGirl. Little Squeaky's medal is based on the ones the pets wear on Disney's "Sophia the First". The final drawing will have the characters cleaned up and in a girly King Smurf-style palace background, complete with mushroom motif.
